REGULATION UPDATE
Did you know as of December 1st 2019 the Building Amendment (Swimming Pool and Spa) Regulations 2019 are enforcing that all owners of private swimming pools or spas must register their pool or spa with their local council. This process will require property owners to undergo an inspection and submit a certification of compliance of the pool or spas safety barriers to their local council every three years. Owners with uncompliant safety barriers can be liable for hefty fines and on top of this must rectify all safety concerns to bring the pool or spa back into compliance.
